Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026. Effective date: October 4, 2026.
A privacy policy explains what information a website collects and how it is used. Ours is short: every ZeroFee Tools utility runs entirely in your web browser. We do not offer accounts, we operate no servers that store your files or inputs, and we do not track what you type, upload, or calculate on this site.
1. Information we collect
We collect almost nothing. ZeroFee Tools does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide a name, email address, or payment details to use any tool. We do not see, receive, or store the content you enter into tools: text you clean or convert, images you edit, files you process, or numbers you calculate are handled locally by JavaScript in your own browser tab.
Like most websites, our hosting provider may record basic, anonymous server logs (for example, the page requested, the time of the request, and general technical data such as browser type) for security and reliability. These logs are not linked to tool inputs and are not used to build profiles of visitors.
2. Information we never collect or store
- The contents of files you upload to tools (images, PDFs, audio, video, CSV files).
- Text you type, paste, or generate (documents, passwords, QR data, resume content).
- Calculator inputs and results (health, finance, tax, or date calculations).
- Your location, contacts, or device identifiers beyond what is technically required to serve the page.
Because we never receive this data, we cannot share it, sell it, or lose it in a breach.
3. Data that stays on your device: browser localStorage
A small number of tools save your preferences or work-in-progress in your browser's localStorage so the tool remembers them between visits. Examples include the habit tracker, the bucket list, and invoice drafts. This data:
- Is stored only on your own device, inside your browser.
- Is never transmitted to ZeroFee Tools or any server we control.
- Can be deleted at any time by clearing your browser's site data or cache for zerofeetools.com.
4. Third-party requests your browser may make
Some tools need live data that can only come from outside services. In those cases your browser contacts the third party directly; we do not proxy or log these requests. Current examples:
- Zippopotam API (zippopotam.us): used by the ZIP code tools to look up places by postal code. Your lookup query goes from your browser to Zippopotam.
- Nominatim / OpenStreetMap: used by the city-to-ZIP tool for place-name search. Queries go from your browser to the Nominatim service under the OpenStreetMap usage policy.
- Fonts and libraries via CDN: pages may load fonts (for example Google Fonts) or open-source JavaScript libraries from public CDNs. Loading these resources means your browser requests them from the CDN provider, which may log standard request data.
These third parties have their own privacy policies. We choose services with minimal data practices, but we do not control what they log.
5. Cookies
ZeroFee Tools itself sets no tracking cookies and requires no cookie consent banner for its core tools, because the tools work without storing personal data. However:
- Your browser's localStorage (section 3) is sometimes loosely called "cookies" in plain language, but it is device-only storage, not a tracking cookie.
- If we enable advertising or analytics in the future (see section 6), those providers may set their own cookies. This policy will be updated before that happens, and consent controls will be provided where required by law.
6. Advertising and analytics
This site is being prepared for advertising programs such as Google AdSense and for web analytics. At present, no third-party advertising or analytics scripts are active beyond the CDN resources described in section 4. If that changes, this policy will be updated to name the providers, describe the data they collect (typically cookie-based, aggregated usage statistics used to serve and measure ads), and explain your opt-out options, including Google's Ads Settings and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out.
7. Your rights
Because we store no personal data about you on our servers, most data-rights requests are satisfied by your own browser:
- Access and deletion: anything a tool saved lives in your browser's localStorage. Clear site data for zerofeetools.com in your browser settings to delete it completely.
- Portability and correction: there is no server-side profile to export or correct.
- If you believe we hold personal data about you (for example, from an email you sent us), contact us at the address in section 10 and we will respond.
8. Children's privacy
ZeroFee Tools is a general-audience utility site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the tools require no accounts and transmit no inputs to us, there is no child data to retain or delete.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the site evolves (for example, when advertising or analytics is enabled). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
10. Contact
Questions about this Privacy Policy can be sent to [email protected]. Please note this is currently a placeholder address while our support inbox is being set up, so replies may be delayed.
Frequently asked questions
Do you store the files I upload or the text I enter into the tools?
No. Every tool runs 100% in your browser with JavaScript. Your uploads, text, and inputs are processed locally on your device and are never sent to our servers, so there is nothing for us to store, share, or lose.
Do I need an account to use ZeroFee Tools?
No. There are no accounts, signups, or logins on ZeroFee Tools. Without user accounts there is no user database, which is one of the reasons the site collects so little data.
What is saved in my browser's localStorage, and how do I delete it?
A few tools, such as the habit tracker, bucket list, and invoice generator, save your preferences or drafts in your browser's localStorage so they persist between visits. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it anytime by clearing site data for zerofeetools.com in your browser settings.
Do you use cookies or show ads?
ZeroFee Tools sets no tracking cookies of its own. The site is being prepared for advertising such as Google AdSense; if ads or analytics are enabled in the future, this policy will be updated first to name the providers and explain your opt-out options.
