Free email signature remover stripping closers and contact blocks from pasted emails

An email signature remover is a free online tool that detects and strips email signatures from pasted email text. It finds closing lines like Best regards, the -- signature delimiter, and trailing contact blocks with names, job titles, phone numbers and links, leaving only your message behind.

How do I remove an email signature from pasted text?

Short answer: Paste the full email, signature included, into the box above and click Remove signature. The tool scans the last lines for closing phrases like Best regards, the -- delimiter, and trailing blocks of names, titles, phone numbers and links, then cuts them away. The cleaned message appears instantly, with the removed signature shown below for review.

This works with emails from Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and any other client, because it looks at the text itself rather than mail-client markup. For forwarded emails that stack several signatures, run it once per message, or use the email quotes remover to cut the reply chain first.

What counts as an email signature?

Short answer: A signature is the block at the very end of an email: a closing line such as Best regards or Thanks, followed by the sender's name, job title, company, phone numbers, email address and website links. Many also start with the -- delimiter line or include a one-liner like 'Sent from my iPhone'. The tool recognizes all three patterns.

Contact blocks are the trickiest part because they look like ordinary text. The tool only treats trailing lines as contact info when they match patterns like phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, or name and title formats, so it leaves your message alone.

Will the tool delete parts of my message by mistake?

Short answer: Only if the end of your message looks exactly like a signature, which is rare. The tool only scans the last part of the text and only cuts at a recognized closing line, the -- delimiter, or a contact-pattern block. Everything it removes is shown in the Removed signature preview, so you can check and re-paste if needed.

A message ending with a lone 'Thanks' and no signature below it is treated as a closer. Check the removed-signature preview: if you see a line you wanted to keep, just copy that line back into your message.
